Recovering the Interface After Forgetting Its Password
If the Ledger Live app lock password is forgotten, the recovery task concerns the local interface, not a new blockchain wallet. Ledger Wallet is the app’s present name. Its optional privacy lock can be rebuilt through the documented application process, but that process may discard locally stored account organization.
Do not begin by wiping the physical Ledger. A device that still unlocks and controls the relevant accounts is the tool you will need to reconstruct the app. Keeping it intact preserves signing access while you address the separate computer or phone problem.

Restore Settings Deliberately
Choose your preferred display currency and recreate account labels after confirming account identity. Set a new privacy password if you want one, giving it a distinct entry in your password manager. That entry should not contain the recovery phrase as a convenient backup field.
Verify That Recovery Is Complete
Check the coin quantities once synchronization finishes. A changed price setting or missing account can make a portfolio total look unfamiliar without changing any blockchain balance. Resolve those display differences before deciding that the password reset affected your funds.
If the device itself is unavailable, assess your existing recovery options before deleting accessible local records. Rebuilding the interface cannot reconstruct private keys from an email address. A separate provider’s password-reset email applies only to that provider’s account.

Can the recovery phrase unlock the computer form?

What if I also forgot the hardware PIN?
That is another recovery problem with different consequences. Stop random PIN attempts and review the model’s official instructions together with the backups you actually possess.
