Read the Store Listing Before Installing
The Ledger Live iOS App Store page now appears under Ledger Wallet. A careful listing check is useful when the branding has changed or search results show several similar applications. This independent guide explains which details matter before pressing Get and which claims should be checked separately.
Begin with Ledger’s own website rather than an advertisement or a link supplied by an unfamiliar support account. A recognizable icon and a strong review score cannot establish the publisher of an application on their own.
Match the Developer and Listing Identity
Follow iOS from the official Ledger application hub. The publisher’s App Store listing identifies Ledger SAS and has app identifier 1361671700. Names in the readable URL can change without changing that identifier.
Confirm the destination before downloading. If an imitation support page tells you to install a profile or an externally signed app instead, return to the publisher-linked store route. Do not treat a screenshot of the official page as proof that a different download button leads to it.
Read Requirements for This Device
Inspect the compatibility details for the iPhone you intend to use. Compare its installed iOS version and available updates with the live requirements. A historical minimum quoted in a tutorial can remain online after the store requirement changes.
A listing may mention compatibility with other Apple hardware. That does not guarantee equivalent connection methods on every device. An iPhone uses supported Bluetooth Ledger models for hardware interaction; Nano S Plus lacks Bluetooth and does not gain iPhone wired support from a USB-C cable.
Understand the Download and Service Costs
The companion application is free to obtain. Blockchain fees and third-party transaction services are separate matters, and provider availability can depend on your region or asset. Read those conditions when using the service rather than inferring that every action is free because the store button says Get.
Apple may request its normal account authorization to complete installation. That belongs to the App Store workflow and must not be confused with the PIN on your Ledger or its recovery backup. The application does not need your seed words to activate a free download.
Use the Same Verified Listing for Maintenance
After installing, keep updates on the official store channel. Check the listing’s release information if you want to understand a change, but do not assume that user comments describe your exact app version or phone configuration.
If downloading or updating fails, preserve Apple’s exact message and follow App Store download assistance. An account verification problem, insufficient storage, and an incompatible iOS version need different remedies. Deleting the wallet’s local account data does not necessarily repair any of them.
Review the First Launch Independently
Select the appropriate hardware model and reconnect an existing configured device where applicable. A genuine installation does not eliminate the need to inspect pairing prompts or verify transaction details on the Ledger screen. Keep the recovery phrase offline and out of the phone’s keyboard, camera, and clipboard.
Listing Questions
Why Does a Search for Ledger Live Show Ledger Wallet?
The product was renamed. Check the publisher-linked listing rather than assuming that an app preserving the old name is the correct choice.
Are Reviews a Good Troubleshooting Source?
They can reveal user experiences but do not replace current official requirements or error-specific support. Record your own version and symptom before applying another person’s suggested fix.
