Reconcile Data Before Rebuilding the App
Ledger Live Android sync issues should be investigated as a discrepancy between the app’s account view and the relevant blockchain data. Ledger Wallet is the current name. Instead of immediately deleting accounts, identify exactly what differs: a transaction, token balance, account selection, or comparison with another installation.
This independent workflow is particularly useful after a recent transfer. Keep the transaction ID if one exists and avoid repeating a payment until its network status is understood.
Define the Account Precisely
Record the asset, chain, and public account you intend to inspect. Tokens can share a symbol across networks, and a desktop may show a different account from the phone. Compare actual public details rather than relying on a nickname such as Main Wallet.
Ledger Sync, which synchronizes account information across supported installations, is different from refreshing transaction history from blockchain services. If the account never appeared on Android, review the account-import flow. If it appears with stale data, continue with service and cache checks.
Establish the Network’s Record
Use an appropriate explorer for the exact chain and inspect the public transaction ID. Determine whether the transfer is confirmed, pending, or unrecognized by that explorer. A pending transaction calls for network-specific handling, not assumptions based on the phone’s portfolio display.
An explorer check never requires your recovery phrase. Public addresses and transaction IDs can reveal financial activity, so share them only when necessary. If the transaction destination is unexpected, investigate that detail rather than dismissing it as a harmless synchronization delay.
Check Whether Ledger’s Data Service Is Available
Consult Ledger’s operational status page for the affected service. When an explorer is unavailable, repeated local resets cannot make it respond. Note the incident and wait for recovery before judging cache-refresh results.
If no relevant incident is listed, compare a trusted Wi-Fi connection with another permitted trusted connection. Check whether the failure is account-specific or affects the whole application. That distinction helps identify local networking versus a particular chain’s data path.
Rebuild Temporary Data With the Supported Control
Install the current compatible application through Ledger’s official Play route. After services are available, follow Ledger’s synchronization repair instructions to clear the temporary cache from the app’s help settings.
Read the selected control and confirmation carefully. Android’s Clear storage action is broader than refreshing the wallet’s cache and can remove local preferences or account listings. Choose the smallest operation that addresses the identified stale-data problem, then allow the accounts to load again.
Stop Once the Evidence Agrees
Compare the refreshed account with the network record and your intended network selection. There is no benefit in continuing to reinstall or re-pair after the discrepancy is resolved. If it persists, provide support with the chain, app version, error, and checks performed.
Hardware firmware maintenance is not automatically relevant to an explorer-data problem. Keep the configured Ledger and offline backup intact. Never type recovery words into Android as a way to force synchronization.
Account-Refresh Questions
Why Is a Token Missing While Its Parent Account Refreshes?
Check token support, network, and display settings for that exact asset. A missing token row is narrower than a failure to synchronize every account.
Does Removing an Account Remove the Coins?
Removing a local account entry does not erase blockchain assets. It can still remove useful local organization, so investigate the discrepancy before choosing that broader step.
