Use Working Features to Narrow the Loading Problem
If Ledger Live Mac is stuck on loading, compare the stalled feature with something that still responds. The application now uses the Ledger Wallet name. A usable settings screen, a second account that refreshes or a device recognized outside the stalled operation can each help locate the failure.
Make a short observation record before changing anything. Identify whether the delay concerns the whole window, account history, a service panel or My Ledger. Record any error and whether the hardware is waiting for a confirmation on its own display.
Compare Account Data Across Networks
Try a read-only refresh for another already added account. If one blockchain fails while another works, investigate the affected service and integration rather than treating the entire Mac installation as broken. Check the Ledger service dashboard for matching reports and their timestamps.
A large history can take longer to retrieve after local data is rebuilt. Look for changes in the scan instead of enforcing an invented waiting period. Restarting every few seconds can prevent a meaningful observation of whether progress is occurring.
Compare the Network, Keeping the App Constant
Use a trusted alternative internet connection where practical and repeat only the stalled read operation. If the result changes, record that evidence for the original network’s administrator or support. Check an unfinished Wi-Fi sign-in and the Mac’s clock as part of basic connectivity diagnosis.
Avoid installing an unfamiliar certificate or routing wallet traffic through an unknown proxy to make a page load. Those changes introduce new trust decisions. If you were submitting funds when the connection failed, inspect the transaction or provider status before retrying.
Compare Startup with Hardware Access
When no device update is running, see whether the interface opens without the Ledger connected. Then attach a known USB data cable and follow the required device prompt. Close competing wallet sessions. This separates application initialization from the moment hardware access begins.
On an Apple silicon MacBook, check accessory approval with the computer unlocked. A lit device screen establishes power, not a completed data session. Bluetooth pairing on a phone does not demonstrate that the desktop USB path works.
Choose the Smallest Relevant Refresh
For stale blockchain data in a responsive application, use the current clear-cache procedure described in Ledger’s synchronization instructions. Allow the resulting scan to finish. Do not replace that command with deletion of the entire application profile.
Check that the program is a supported current release, especially after an interrupted update. A program-file reinstall, targeted account rediscovery and a full local reset have different effects. Select a documented action based on the comparison that failed rather than applying all of them together.
Loading Questions
Does a responsive account prove every service is healthy?
No. Features can use different remote components. Describe the exact working and failing operations so an unrelated green status does not obscure the affected service.
Should I disconnect during a firmware spinner?
Do not apply ordinary loading diagnostics to an active device installation. Read its hardware state and follow the model’s documented continuation or failure procedure.
What should never go into the observation record?
Exclude recovery words, hardware PINs and private keys. Record technical versions and non-secret errors, reviewing any logs or screenshots for unnecessary account details before sharing them.
